Barry Eugene Carter (September 12, 1944 – July 4, 2003), better known by his stage name Barry White, was an American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and composer.
A three-time Grammy Award winner who was known for is distinctive Bass Baritone voice and romantic image. His greatest success came with "The Love Unlimited Orchestra" where he crafted many soul, funk and disco songs. During the course of his life he achieved 106 gold albums worldwide of which 41 attained Platinum Status. He had 20 gold and 10 platinum singles and worldwide record sales.
